Oven-baked chicken thighs are an excellent addition to any side dish.

This dish can be made brighter and tastier if you marinate the meat in a sauce with a sweet and sour taste before baking. The marinade will thoroughly saturate the chicken meat, making it softer and more tender. After marinating, bake the thighs in the same marinade. The thighs have an attractive and appetizing appearance - a glossy and golden-brown crust on top.

Ингредиенты

Chicken thighs – 3 pcs. (500-600 g)

Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp.

Soy sauce – 3 tbsp.

Lemon juice – 2 tbsp.

Honey – 1 tbsp.

Vegetable oil – 1 tsp.

Ground ginger – 0.5 tsp.

Ground garlic – 0.5 tsp.

Mix of herbs - a pinch

Salt, pepper - to taste

1. First of all, prepare the sweet and sour marinade. Pour soy sauce into a deep container, add tomato ketchup, mix well until smooth.

2. Add spices - ground ginger and garlic, a mixture of herbs, salt, pepper. Do not add too much salt as soy sauce is quite salty.

3. Squeeze the juice from the lemon, add liquid honey. Mix the components thoroughly for several minutes so that the honey is distributed as much as possible throughout the liquid composition.

4. Wash the thighs, blot the moisture on top with a napkin, place in a deep container, pour in the prepared marinade. Cover the meat with cling film, place in the refrigerator, and marinate for the next 30-60 minutes. During this period, the thighs can be turned over several times so that both sides are well marinated.

5. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil or cover with cling film, place chicken thighs inside, pour marinade on top

6. Heat the oven to 180 degrees, place the form with meat on the middle shelf. For the first 20 minutes, the meat can be covered with foil, then remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes. You can baste the meat with marinade several times. The thighs should be golden brown and glossy on top, but not overly fried.

7. Serve chicken thighs in sweet and sour marinade along with vegetables or a side dish.
