Cranberry and apple juice

A simple and healthy cranberry-apple juice is very easy to prepare.
The main rule of such a drink is not to boil it! Cranberries are rich in vitamin C, so the fruit drink from it is only brought to a boil and allowed to brew for 10-15 minutes so that the berries give off their color, aroma and taste to the liquid. You can use any variety of apples, but remember that if they are sour, you need to add more sugar, since cranberries also taste sour. If desired, you can add a little vanilla sugar or other flavoring.
Do not prepare fruit juice in large batches in advance - it is drunk almost immediately after creation, while it contains a maximum of vitamins and microelements.

Large apple - 1 pc.
Cranberry - 150 g
Water - 700 ml
Sugar - 2-3 tbsp. (taste)

1. Rinse the cranberries in water, remove the stems and twigs and add the berries to the pan. Rinse the apple in water and peel off the peel if purchased at the store. Cut in half or quarters and scoop out seed blocks. Rinse the pulp and cut into slices into a saucepan.
2. Add granulated sugar. If you want to replace it with flower honey, then add honey at the very end of preparation, after the drink has infused.
3. Pour in warm water and place the pan on the stove, turning on medium heat.
4. Wait until steam appears above the liquid, but it does not boil yet. Then turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid. Leave for about 10-15 minutes to steam. During this time, the apple slices will become soft and the liquid will turn slightly pink.
5. Pour warm fruit juice into cups or glasses or into a jug. Serve cranberry and apple juice at the table along with sweet or savory pastries for dessert.
