I most often make jam or compotes from pears, but this recipe interested me because of its originality and original taste.

Such pears are good both for dessert and as a semi-finished product for filling pies. This preparation made from Conference pears is especially tasty. To prepare the preparation, you need to take ripe pears, water, natural honey and citric acid.

Ингредиенты

Pears – 2 kg

Water – 1 liter;

Honey – 1 glass;

Citric acid – 1 teaspoon.

Рецепт

1. Peel the pears, cut into 4 parts and remove the seeds.

2. Blanch the pear quarters in slightly acidified boiling water for 5-7 minutes (the fruits should be easily pierced with a wooden toothpick), and then place in a colander.

3. To prepare the syrup, put honey in water and add citric acid.

4. Bring the syrup to a boil, remove the foam and boil for 2 minutes.

5. Place the pears in pre-sterilized jars and pour boiling syrup over them.

6. Cover the jars with boiled lids and set to sterilize: 1-liter - 8 minutes, 2-liter - 12 minutes, 3-liter - 15 minutes, and then seal tightly.

7. Turn the jars upside down (for better sterilization of the lids) and leave in this position until they cool completely.
