A very beautiful side dish of glazed carrots with thyme can be prepared for the holiday table. This side dish goes well with both meat and fish. I first saw it in one of the cooking shows, where the judges really praised this side dish, so I decided to keep up with the great chefs and prepared such carrots. Very tasty, bright, the carrots are not completely boiled, keep their shape and retain all their beneficial substances!
We will prepare all the products according to the list. Sugar in this recipe can be replaced with honey if desired, but not with flower honey.

Carrots - 400 g
Sugar - 1 tbsp.
Salt - 0.5 tsp.
Dried thyme - 1 tsp.
Butter - 50 g

1. First of all, peel the carrots using a vegetable peeler. Trim the tops, leaving small tails for beauty.
2. Boil water in a saucepan and blanch the carrots for literally 4-5 minutes. Place the carrots in a colander.
3. Pour olive oil or any odorless vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Only after this do we put the butter into the frying pan and let it melt completely.
4. If you have a small frying pan, then cook the carrots in several batches. You want the carrots to be in one layer in the pan.
5. Add salt, sugar and dried thyme to the carrots in the pan.
6. Fry the carrots until soft and golden brown for 7-10 minutes, stirring. Check the readiness of the carrots with a fork or knife.
