Potato casserole with pork, tomatoes and onions

Great recipe for dinner.
When you don’t want to stand at the stove, but need to cook dinner, a hearty potato casserole with pork, tomatoes and onions will help out! There is a minimum of preparation, and the dish turns out to be satisfying and very appetizing. The win-win combination of meat and potatoes becomes even more delicious under a tempting crust of melted cheese. The meat turns out juicy, and the vegetables are aromatic and tender. Try it!

Pork (ham) - 400 g
Potatoes - 450-500 g
Onions - 130 g
Cherry tomatoes - 100 g
Suluguni cheese - 100 g
Sour cream (or mayonnaise) - 100 g

1. Prepare the products according to the list. You can use any variety of tomatoes in place of cherry tomatoes. Cheese - any hard one.
2. Peel the onions and cut into thin quarter rings. Peel the potatoes. Cut potatoes and meat into small cubes. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, and if the tomatoes are large, cut them into circles or semicircles.
3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Grease a baking dish (mine is 26 cm in size) with vegetable oil. Place the chopped onion in the pan and distribute evenly.
4. Place chopped potatoes on top of the onion layer.
5. Smooth out the layer of potatoes and spread with a thin layer of sour cream or mayonnaise (use about half the amount indicated). Add half the salt, ground black pepper and ground paprika.
6. Then add a layer of meat.
7. Level the layer of meat and brush with the remaining sour cream (or mayonnaise). Sprinkle the dish with the remaining amount of salt, ground black pepper and ground paprika. Add cherry tomato halves.
8. Cover the pan with foil.
9. Place the dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 50-60 minutes, until the potatoes are ready.
10. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Remove the pan from the oven, sprinkle the meat, potatoes and tomatoes evenly with cheese.
11. Bake the dish for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and lightly browns.
12. Potato casserole with pork, tomatoes and onions is ready. If desired, decorate the dish with fresh herb leaves and serve.
