Remember in fairy tales - “rivers of milk, banks of jelly”. Surely this was precisely the kind of oatmeal jelly that was meant, the recipe for which is described here, because this is an old Russian dish. So, how to ferment jelly from rolled oats or other oatmeal?
Ингредиенты
Oat flakes - 3 cups
Water (warm) - 2.5 cups
White bread - 1 slice
Salt - 1 pinch (to taste)

1. How to make jelly from Hercules or other oat flakes: Pour the flakes into a stainless pan (or ceramic dish).
2. Then pour in warm water.
3. Add a slice of bread to the cereal, cover the dish with a towel and place in a warm place for 1-2 days.
4. After this, strain the liquid through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and add another 2 glasses of water (husks from oatmeal and bread crust will remain on the gauze).
5. Add salt to the liquid and, stirring with a wooden spoon, heat the oatmeal jelly until it begins to bubble.
6. Pour hot jelly into small bowls. Oatmeal jelly is ready!
7. Oatmeal jelly can be served hot with butter or cold (then it thickens like jelly) with milk.
