A very hearty and very healthy pie with stewed cabbage and potatoes.
Prepares quickly thanks to the jellied dough. Good for tea or as a snack.
I’m always wary of pies - they’re too high in calories, fatty, delicious - it’s hard to stop at just one piece. But this is a completely different case. Jellied pie with potatoes and cabbage turns out just as tasty, but due to a small amount of dough and stewed, almost dietary filling, it even becomes healthy! It’s okay to include such baked goods in your diet - in small quantities, of course. The pie is good to serve both hot and cold, which means it is convenient to take with you as a snack or even lunch.
Let's start by preparing the filling. We will need the following ingredients. I always take a little extra so that there is certainly enough filling for the pie. It's better to have a little left than not enough. Moreover, such a pie can and even should be filled to the fullest - it will only become more satisfying and tasty.
Ингредиенты
Filling:
Potatoes – 3 pcs.
Cabbage – 300 g
Onion – 1 pc.
Salt, pepper - to taste
Turmeric, basil - to taste
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Dough:
Kefir – 500 ml
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Flour – 250-300 g
Soda – 1 tsp.
Sugar – 2 tsp.
Salt – 1 tsp.
Рецепт
1. Finely chop the cabbage with a knife, add salt and mash with your hands until soft.
2. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
3. We also peel the potatoes and cut them into larger cubes.
4. Place vegetables in a frying pan with oil, add turmeric for color and basil to taste.
5. Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat until the ingredients are half cooked. Then leave it covered and aside.
6. Meanwhile, prepare the dough. We will need the following ingredients.
7. In a bowl, combine kefir, vegetable oil, salt and sugar.
8. Mix and sift most of the flour, add soda.
9. Knead the dough for the pie, the consistency of which resembles sour cream; If necessary, add flour - the dough should slowly drain from the spoon.
10. Form the pie. Place about half of the dough on the bottom of a greased pan (I used a filling frying pan with a removable handle). Place the prepared, slightly cooled filling on top.
11. Finish the pie with a layer of dough. Level the mixture with a spoon. Bake the pie in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes. Check readiness with a knife or wooden stick.
12. Jellied pie with potatoes and cabbage is ready! Cool slightly, remove from the mold and serve. If desired, you can decorate the pie with sesame seeds.
13. Serve the pie with sweet tea or light first courses. Bon appetit!
