An interesting version of French meat.

According to this recipe, potatoes are grated and combined with cheese. Chopped pieces of pork are pre-fried, and mushrooms and onions are also stewed a little in sour cream. The cooking process is a little more labor-intensive than in the classic version, but the taste is richer and brighter. The dish looks impressive on the table and in section.

Potatoes - 350 g

Pork (pulp) - 400 g

Frozen forest mushrooms - 200 g

Tomatoes - 150 g

Onion - 100 g

Garlic - 2 cloves

Hard cheese - 100 g

Sour cream 25% fat - 120 g

Mustard (ready seasoning) - 1 teaspoon

Egg yolk - 1 pc.

Vegetable oil - 30 ml (2 tbsp. spoons)

Salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

1. Instead of frozen forest mushrooms, you can use any other mushrooms, such as champignons.

2. Peel and rinse the potatoes. Grate on a coarse grater, add salt (1/4 teaspoon), stir and leave for 10 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, cut the pork across the grain into layers (I got 5 pieces). Beat each piece a little.

4. Place the chops in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil. Fry over high heat on both sides until golden brown. I fried for 3-4 minutes in two batches.

5. Place the fried meat in a baking dish in one layer. Add salt (1/3 teaspoon) and pepper (1/6 teaspoon).

Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

6. Peel the onions and garlic, cut into small pieces. Place in the vacated frying pan. reduce heat to medium. Fry the vegetables for 3 minutes.

7. Add mushrooms to the pan. Add a little salt and fry for 10 minutes, stirring

8. Add 40 g of sour cream and mustard to the pan. Stir. Fry for another 2-3 minutes, stirring.

9. Place the contents of the frying pan in an even layer on top of the meat in the pan.

10. Cut the tomatoes into slices and place them in one layer on top of the mushrooms.

11. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Squeeze out the juice from the potatoes. Combine potatoes and cheese in a deep bowl.

12. Add the yolk, the remaining sour cream, and pepper (1/8 teaspoon).

13. Transfer the potato mixture into the mold, level it, and lightly press with a spoon over the entire surface.

14. Place the casserole in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked and golden brown (focus on the features of your oven).
