Sweet potato puree

I often cook sweet potato puree as a side dish and even as an independent dish.
It has a slightly sweet taste because the sweet potato itself has a natural sweetness. I also add butter, garlic and red smoked paprika for a brighter taste and aroma. This makes the puree taste rich, creamy, and texture tender. Try it and I'm sure you'll like it!

Sweet potato - 600 g
Butter - 30 g
Garlic - 2 cloves
Smoked sweet paprika - 0.5 tsp.
Turmeric - 1 pinch
Salt, black pepper - to taste

1. Peel the sweet potato, cut into small pieces, place in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat until the vegetable is soft. Approximately 20 minutes.
2. You can check readiness with a sharp knife - just pierce the vegetable. If the knife easily reaches the middle of the tuber, then the sweet potato is ready.
3. Drain the water and set aside a little in a cup. Puree the sweet potatoes using an immersion blender (or mash with a puree masher). If necessary, add a little broth.
4. Add soft butter, chopped garlic, and spices to the puree. Punch the mixture until smooth.
5. The result is silky, tender sweet potato puree.
6. When serving, you can additionally season with fresh herbs, a pinch of pepper or a small piece of butter. I added a small handful of walnuts. Bon appetit!
