Fish kebab from catfish can be prepared not only on the grill, but also in the oven - on wooden skewers. Try it!

It’s not for nothing that all housewives love catfish - there are practically no bones in it!

This fish is good for fish soup, for baking, and for other dishes, but I decided to try making catfish kebab. This was the first time I had to cook such a fish delicacy, so I didn’t dare to fry the fish pieces over an open fire - I used a regular oven, but before that I marinated this delicious fish properly. To create a delicious catfish kebab in the oven, prepare the necessary ingredients.

Ингредиенты

Som - 1 kg

Soy sauce - 2 tbsp.

Mustard beans - 2 tbsp.

Salt - 0.5 tsp.

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

1. Gut the catfish, rinse and remove mucus from its surface with a hard sponge or cloth. Cut the fish into large portions, separating the head and tail. You may need them to create fish soup, but they won’t end up in barbecue!

2. Cut the medium meaty pieces into several pieces.

3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mustard seeds, salt and vegetable oil. I did not add granulated sugar; it is not appropriate in a fish marinade.

4. Dip the fish pieces into the marinade and mix everything thoroughly so that each piece of catfish is coated in an appetizing marinade. Soak the fish in it for about 2 hours in a cold place.

5. Then thread the pieces onto wooden skewers or skewers and place in a baking dish. Place the mold in the oven and simmer for about 20-25 minutes at 200C.

6. Serve catfish kebab baked in the oven with vegetables and herbs, not forgetting the sauce: sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, etc.
