Have you gathered guests for a picnic? Surprise them by cooking khachapuri on the grill.
It's simple, unusual and very tasty. While the main course is being prepared, such khachapuri will be an excellent aperitif. Ready-made puff pastry will make the process easier, but you can make the dough yourself if you wish. For the filling, I used suluguni cheese, but if you don’t have that, take any tasty cheese with good meltability. Cooking dough products over an open fire should be done with caution. Large amounts of very hot coals are not required. You have to keep an eye on it and constantly turn the grill over.

Puff pastry (unleavened) - 300 g
Cheese - 150 g
Butter - 20 g
Chicken egg - 1 pc.

1. Grate cheese and butter on a coarse grater.
2. Add an egg. Add salt if desired.
3. Mix the filling.
4. Roll out the dough layer a little into a square. Place a third of the filling in the center.
5. Fold the dough into an envelope.
6. Carefully pinch the edges and flatten them a little with your hand.
7. Also make the remaining dough with filling. I got three envelopes.
8. Place khachapuri on a wire rack.
9. Cook khachapuri with cheese on the grill over medium-low heat, turning, until golden brown on both sides.
10. Serve immediately.
