Fragrant, juicy, incredibly tender and beautiful Indonesian chicken skewers can be prepared using this recipe.
In any restaurant in Indonesia you will find these skewers on the menu called "SATAY". Peanut sauce is usually served with ready-made kebabs.
I ate such kebabs in Holland, they were cooked by a Dutch woman with Indonesian roots, and, as you know, Indonesia was a colony of Holland, so Indonesian dishes are very common and quite popular in Holland.
Let's prepare all the ingredients for making Satay chicken skewers. We will need skewers. Wooden skewers should be soaked in cold water for 20 minutes to prevent them from burning in the pan.

Soy sauce - 3 tbsp.
Garlic - 2 cloves

1. The secret of a delicious Satay kebab is in the marinade. Let's start by preparing the marinade. Place ketchup or any tomato sauce in a bowl.
2. Add soy sauce.
3. Pour sesame oil into a bowl with the remaining ingredients.
4. For spices we will use ground cumin or cumin.
5. We’ll also add ground black pepper to the marinade to suit your taste. There is no need to add salt; soy sauce itself is already salty.
6. Now add garlic passed through a press to the marinade. Mix the sauce ingredients well until smooth.
7. Cut each chicken fillet into 4 longitudinal strips.
8. Place the meat in a large bowl.
9. Add marinade to the meat.
10. Thoroughly mix the meat with the marinade. Leave the kebabs to marinate for at least 30 minutes. If you are serving Chicken Satay Skewers with Peanut Sauce, you can cook it for now.
11. Thread the marinated chicken fillet strips onto skewers.
12. Fry Satay kebabs in a grill pan or over an open fire on a grill.
