According to this recipe, the waffles will be moderately sweet, so we adjust the amount of sugar ourselves or serve them in combination with honey or jam.

Milk - 100 ml

Chicken egg - 1 pc.

Sugar - 25 g

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. (+ for greasing waffle iron panels)

Baking powder - 0.5 tsp.

Corn flour - 120 g

1. In a deep bowl, combine milk at room temperature and a chicken egg. Using a whisk, stir the mixture until smooth.

2. Then add granulated sugar and refined, odorless vegetable oil. Stir again. At this stage, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla sugar or vanillin on the tip of a knife to the dough, it will give the baked goods a pleasant aroma.

3. Add corn flour and baking powder.

4. Mix thoroughly so that there are no flour lumps. The dough should be medium thick (as in the photo). Considering that everyone’s flour is different, you may need a little less or more of it than indicated in the list of ingredients, you need to be guided by the consistency of the dough.

5. Grease the waffle iron panels with a thin layer of vegetable oil and heat. Then place 1.5 tablespoons of batter onto one waffle.

6. Close the lid and bake the waffles for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown. Cool the finished waffles on a wire rack.

7. Waffles made from corn flour in a waffle iron turn out very tasty and appetizing. Serve them with jam or honey.
