This pilaf can be served at any time of the day, but I prefer breakfast and recommend it to you. Rice with dried fruits in the morning is a hearty and nutritious start to the day.

Even though the pilaf is sweet, I don’t use sugar. This is because the sweetness in this recipe comes from the dried fruits themselves, in particular dates and raisins. But no one forbids adding sugar or honey to taste if you want. Just remember that this will also affect the calorie content of the dish.

Long grain rice – 0.5 cups

Dried apricots – 4 pcs.

Prunes – 6 pcs.

Raisins – 30 g

Dates – 6 pcs.

Butter – 20 g

Water – 1.5 cups

1. First, let's prepare the dried fruits. Pour boiling water over the dried apricots and leave until softened.

2. Just pour plain water over the dates and prunes for 10-15 minutes.

3. Pour hot water over the raisins for about 15 minutes.

4. After soaking, wash all dried fruits. Cut the dried apricots into several parts.

5. Remove the peel and seeds from the dates and also cut them in half.

6. Place dried fruits in a frying pan, add water and add thoroughly washed rice. Salt the dish and cook until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is soft.

7. Add butter to the finished pilaf. You can sweeten the rice with honey or sugar to taste.
