Salad with shrimp and grapefruit

A very simple and quick recipe for salad with shrimp and grapefruit - minimum fuss, maximum taste.
I’ve always liked the taste of salad with shrimp and grapefruit, but I didn’t like making it before because there’s a lot of fuss when you need to nicely and carefully peel the grapefruit so that it doesn’t fall apart. But one fine day I thought to myself: why am I still suffering? In the end, I like the combination of the bitter sourness of grapefruit with shrimp, and not the appearance of neat slices! Well, God bless them, that means they are neat. We will do it sloppy, but tasty and fast.
After trying several options, I came to the conclusion that white or Chinese cabbage, or iceberg lettuce are optimal for my recipe for salad with shrimp and grapefruit. All the rest are bitter (and there is plenty of grapefruit bitterness here) and look sloppy.

Beijing cabbage - 250 g
Shrimp - 200 g
Grapefruit - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
Garlic - 1 clove
Salt, pepper - to taste

1. Cut Chinese cabbage into thin, thin strips. If there is a formal serving, then we first set aside the outer leaves.
2. Chop the garlic.
3. Peel the grapefruit, removing the membranes, and the more it becomes disheveled, the better. Clean over a plate to collect all the juice that comes out.
4. Mix grapefruit with Chinese cabbage, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
5. We clean the shrimp from their shells, if they were in shells. When you start preparing the salad, the shrimp should be completely thawed.
6. Fry the shrimp in a frying pan in vegetable oil with garlic. Under no circumstances should the garlic turn black.
7. For formal serving, line the sides of the serving container with Chinese cabbage leaves and place a mound of cabbage and grapefruit inside.
8. Shrimp go on top of this, and be sure to pour out more oil in which they were fried, it is a seasoning. Salad with shrimp and grapefruit is ready to serve.
