We will prepare all the products according to the list. Cream can be replaced with milk, and butter with margarine. Butter or margarine must be removed from the refrigerator in advance so that it softens.

Flour - 400 g

Butter - 125 g

Sugar - 150 g

Eggs - 3 pcs.

Zest of 1 lemon

Baking powder for dough - 1 tsp.

1. Place softened butter and sugar in a bowl and mix well with a fork.

2. Add 2 eggs and 1 yolk. We set the protein aside; we will need it later. Mix the contents of the bowl well again.

3. Add cream or milk to the dough. Mix the dough again.

4. Remove the zest from the orange.

5. And add it to the dough.

6. Sift the flour and add baking powder to it.

7. Add flour to the bowl in parts and knead the dough well.

8. The dough should not stick to your hands. Place the bowl of dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Cover the top of the bowl with film.

9. Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Let's make a sausage out of it and cut it into small pieces.

10. Roll each piece of dough into a 20-25 cm flagellum.

11. Fold the flagellum in half.

12. Roll up these cookies and connect the ends together.

13. Place the cookies on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. Using a silicone brush, brush the top of each cookie with the remaining egg white. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20 minutes.

14. Take the finished cookies out of the oven and let them cool and harden slightly on the baking sheet.
