Horseradish with apples

Horseradish is a spicy sauce for meat and fish, in which the main ingredient is horseradish root.
I suggest preparing horseradish with the addition of microwave-baked apples; it tastes softer. Moreover, horseradish, apples, and garlic often grow in the country or in the garden. This sauce is perfect for jellied dishes and jellied meat, as well as meat or fish.

Apples (sweet and sour) - 6 pcs. (600 g)
Horseradish root - 150 g
Garlic - 2 heads (65 g)
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Vinegar 9% - 1 tbsp. spoon

1. Prepare all ingredients. Horseradish root can be bought from grandmothers at the market. It is advisable to use juicy, sweet and sour autumn varieties of apples.
2. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the seeds. Place the apples in a suitable plate, microwave and bake at full power 2 times for 2 minutes.
3. The apples have become soft and at the same time release a pleasant fruity aroma.
4. Peel the horseradish root by scraping the skin with a knife. Peel the garlic cloves.
5. Grind the horseradish and garlic in a meat grinder using a grid with medium holes. During chopping, horseradish hurts your eyes, so you can cover the meat grinder and bowl with a plastic bag.
6. Also chop the apples in a meat grinder or blender and add to a bowl with horseradish and garlic. Add sugar, salt and vinegar.
7. Mix all sauce ingredients. It turned out to be quite thick, holds well on a spoon and does not spread.
8. Prepare jars for sealing the sauce. I used 1 jar of 200 ml and 3 jars of 120 ml.
9. Fill the jars and lids with cold water in a saucepan and put on fire. Bring the water to a boil and simmer the jars over low heat for 15 minutes, this will sterilize them well.
10. Carefully remove hot jars and lids to a clean kitchen towel and let cool.
11. Divide the horseradish with apples and garlic into jars, filling them as much as possible.
12. Screw the lids on the jars tightly. Horseradish with apples is ready. It is better to store this sauce in the refrigerator - it will stay there all winter.
13. The sauce turns out to be very spicy, so this amount will last for a long time. You can’t think of anything better for jellied meat or first courses in winter!
