Fish baked with potatoes, cheese and sour cream

A tasty and satisfying dish made from simple ingredients.

Place hake pieces between layers of thinly sliced potatoes. For a more refined taste and juiciness, add lemon juice and sour cream, and the cheese will give it an appetizing golden brown crust.

Ингредиенты

Potatoes – 600 g (6 pcs.)

Hake (fillet) – 350 g (2 pcs.)

Onions - 80 g (1 pc.)

Sour cream 15% fat - 100 g

Hard cheese - 80 g

Lemon juice - 15 ml (1 tbsp)

Seasoning for potatoes - 0.75 teaspoons

Salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Vegetable oil (for greasing the mold) - 10 ml (2 teaspoons)

1. Prepare all ingredients. I used hake fillet, but you can use any fish with a few bones. If the fish is frozen, defrost it in advance. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content. I use potato seasoning, but you can substitute any spices you like.

2. Cut the hake fillet into portions and place in a deep bowl. Season with salt and pepper (a pinch). Add lemon juice. Stir. Leave for 10 minutes.

3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees. Peel the potatoes, rinse and dry with a paper towel. Cut the potatoes into thin slices. I used a special grater.

4. Add salt (0.5 teaspoon), ground black pepper (pinch), potato seasoning and half of sour cream (50 g) to the potatoes.

5. Mix the potatoes well so that each slice is coated with seasoning and sour cream.

6. Add the remaining sour cream (50 g) to the fish pieces. Stir.

7. Grease a baking dish (mine is 20x20 cm in size) with vegetable oil and place half of the chopped potatoes there in an even layer.

8. Place the next layer of fish in sour cream.

9. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Place onion on top of fish.

10. Place the remaining potatoes in the next layer.

11. Place the fish and vegetables in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes, until the potatoes are ready. At the end of baking, pierce the potatoes with a skewer or fork; if they are soft, they are ready. The time may vary slightly from the recipe, as it all depends on your technique, as well as the material and size of the mold.

12. After a while, remove the pan from the oven. Grate the cheese on a fine grater and generously sprinkle it over the surface of the casserole.

Return the fish and potatoes to the oven for another 8-10 minutes at the same temperature until the cheese melts.

13. Fish baked with potatoes, cheese and sour cream is ready.
