These are the same “Hedgehog” meatballs, only not “prickly” ones, since rice cereal is replaced with canned corn.
The sweetness of the yellow grains goes well with fried minced meat. The liquid from the corn is also useful - it is used for the sauce along with the tomato paste.
Ингредиенты
Minced meat (pork and beef) - 600 g
Canned corn - 410 g (1 can)
Onions - 80 g (1 pc.)
Semolina - 40 g (2-3 tablespoons)
Egg - 1 pc.
Garlic - 2-3 cloves
Corn liquid - to taste
Tomato paste - 45 g (2 tablespoons)
Vegetable oil - 45 g
Salt - to taste
Ground black pepper - to taste
Рецепт
1. Prepare the products. You will also need liquid from under the corn. We pour it into a separate container.
2. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. We peel the garlic and pass it through a press.
3. Mix minced meat with onion and garlic, add salt and pepper.
4. Add semolina, corn without liquid and egg to the minced meat.
5. Stir until smooth, beat several times. Leave the minced meat for 5-10 minutes so that the semolina absorbs excess liquid.
6. Form the minced meat into round meatballs.
7. Mix the corn liquid and tomato paste, add salt and spices. Stir until smooth.
8. Fry the meatballs in a frying pan with vegetable oil for 5-10 minutes, until crispy.
9. Pour a mixture of corn liquid and tomato paste into the fried meatballs. Simmer covered for 20-30 minutes until done.
The liquid should cover almost all the meatballs. Add water if there is not enough liquid.
10. Meatballs with corn, in tomato sauce, ready.
11. Bon appetit!
