Hercules porridge with banana and nuts

You won’t recognize Hercules porridge from this recipe! This dish with delicate banana puree, crispy nuts, and aromatic cocoa is a great breakfast!
At first glance, it looks like an ordinary milk porridge made from oatmeal for breakfast. But in fact, this is a wonderful combination of delicate banana puree, crunchy walnuts and aromatic cocoa in such a simple oatmeal dish.
What do we need to prepare it? First of all, the Hercules oatmeal itself, which takes at least 10 minutes to cook. Secondly, the liquid in which the porridge will be cooked can be only milk or a mixture of milk and water. The second option is lighter and less caloric, but do not forget that the fat content of the milk will make the porridge tastier. The remaining components are responsible for the taste: banana, walnuts, cocoa, honey, as well as salt and butter, which will never spoil the porridge.

Oatmeal "Hercules" - 1 cup
Milk – 1 glass
Water – 1 glass
Salt - a pinch
Banana – 1 pc.
Cocoa – 1 tsp.
Walnuts – 40 g
Honey – 1 tsp.
Butter – 2 tsp.

1. In a saucepan, combine oatmeal, salt, milk, water. Stir and cook the oatmeal porridge according to the instructions on the package.
2. It will take 10-20 minutes.
3. Peel the banana and mash with a fork until pureed.
4. Grind the nuts to fine crumbs. You can use a blender.
5. By this time the porridge is ready. Add banana puree, crushed nuts, cocoa, and honey.
6. Mix until smooth. Cover with a lid and let steep for 10-15 minutes.
7. During this time, the porridge will reach readiness, thicken, and become saturated with the taste and aroma of the added ingredients.
