The easiest way to prepare a hearty meal for the whole family from meat and potatoes is home-style roast.

It always turns out tasty and juicy. You can use any type of meat, various herbs and spices.

Remember to cook the meat first, not the potatoes, otherwise it will taste tough. If you like chopped herbs in a dish, then add it at the very end of stewing.

Ингредиенты

Pork - 400 g

Potatoes - 3 pcs.

Onions - 1 pc.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Seasoning for potatoes - 1 tbsp.

Vegetable oil - 40 ml

Hot water - 200 ml

Salt - 1-2 pinches

Ground black pepper - 2 pinches

2. Rinse the pork and cut off the films and veins. Cut into portions. Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots and wash. Cut the potatoes into medium cubes.

3. Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron and add chopped pork there. Fry for about 10 minutes on medium heat. First, the meat will release liquid - it must be evaporated, then it will begin to fry.

4. Cut the onion into half rings and the carrots into medium slices. When the meat is fried, add carrots and onions. Fry for another 2-3 minutes.

5. Then add potatoes and stir. Fry for another 2 minutes.

6. Pour in hot water, add seasoning, salt and ground black pepper. Bring everything to a boil and reduce heat to moderate. Cover the cauldron with a lid and simmer the roast for about 25 minutes. Stir it from time to time so that all the food cooks evenly.

7. When there is little liquid left, taste the roast. If the meat is too tough, add a little more hot water and simmer for another 5 minutes.

8. Place the home-style roast on plates and sprinkle with chopped herbs when serving.
