Today I will tell you how to make apple jam in slices for the winter.
This jam is a wonderful delicacy that can be served with pancakes or pancakes, or just with tea. This jam looks amazing, and to achieve this effect you need to follow some rules. There are few ingredients for making jam: apples, sugar and cinnamon. Everyone in my family loves cinnamon, so it's in many apple pies and apple-related sweet dishes. If cinnamon is not your spice, you can use vanilla beans or cardamom beans, the choice is yours.

1. To prepare apple jam in slices for the winter, you need to cut the apples into 4 parts, remove the seed box, then cut each part into 3 equal slices. You should weigh the apples only after you have removed all excess from them.
2. Place the apple slices in a stainless steel pan, sprinkle with sugar and add cinnamon or other spice. Leave the apples for 4-10 hours so that they release juice.
3. This is what my apples looked like after 5 hours.
4. Place the pan on the fire and bring the apples to a boil over high heat. Then remove the lid and boil for another 5 minutes. The fire must certainly be maximum - this is the rule thanks to which the slices will retain their integrity. After cooking, the jam must be cooled completely. This will take 3-4 hours, but this does not mean that you need to continue cooking right away. The process can be extended over 2 days. This is what my apples looked like after the second boil and a night of waiting.
5. I boiled them again, again on high heat for 5 minutes, and left them to cool for 3 hours. To make the jam thicker, cooled apples need to be removed from the syrup.
6. Place the pan over medium heat and simmer the apple jam for 5 minutes. Then return the apples to the syrup, mix gently and cook over high heat for 5 minutes.
7. Transfer the jam into a prepared sterile jar with a lid, screw it on and turn it over. Wrap until cool. Apple jam in slices is ready for the winter.
8. You will get about a liter of jam, but I closed a 720 g jar and left the rest for testing. Oh, and it turned out delicious! Delicious preparations to you!
