Chinese egg pancakes with green onions are a great option for a simple, satisfying, budget-friendly dish made from affordable ingredients. To prepare pancakes according to the traditional recipe, you will need only 10-15 minutes of free time and 4 basic ingredients: water, chicken eggs, flour and green onions, as well as salt and a little vegetable oil for frying.

Ингредиенты

Chicken egg – 3 pcs.

Water - 125 ml

Wheat flour – 120 g

Green onions – 4 tbsp.

Salt - to taste

Vegetable oil - for frying

1. For preparation you will need the components indicated in the list.

2. Combine eggs and water at room temperature, and mix thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. There is no need to beat the mass.

3. Add sifted wheat flour to the mixture.

4. Mix everything well so that there are no lumps left.

5. Add salt to taste and 4 tbsp. finely chopped green onions. For a more beautiful color contrast, you can use only the green part of the stem.

6. Heat a frying pan, grease the bottom with a thin layer of vegetable oil and pour in a portion of the dough. Tilt the pan in a circular motion, from left to right and away from you, so that the dough is evenly distributed in a thin layer along the bottom of the pan, and then fry the resulting pancake for 30-40 seconds. The heat should be slightly above medium - so that during this time the pancakes have time to slightly brown, but at the same time the dough does not “boil”, falling on the surface of the frying pan.

7. After 30-40 seconds, carefully lift the pancake with a spatula, turn it over to the other side and fry for another 30-40 seconds on the other side, until light golden brown marks appear on the surface.

8. Transfer the finished pancake to a plate and repeat the procedure with the remaining dough. Depending on the thickness, in a frying pan with a diameter of 24 cm, approximately 6-8 pancakes are obtained from the specified number of components.

9. Chinese pancakes with green onions are ready. You can serve them stuffed with fried vegetables or mushrooms or add sauce to your taste.
