A recipe for delicious dumplings with potatoes and mushrooms on kefir.

Vareniki are a traditional dish of Ukrainian cuisine. There are many varieties of dumplings, both sweet and savory. Cabbage, meat, liver, potatoes or mushrooms are used to fill salty dumplings. You can also make dumplings by combining several ingredients. I suggest making dumplings with potatoes and mushrooms. You can make any dough for dumplings; I made it with kefir.

For the filling, cut the champignons and onions into small cubes. Fry the mushrooms for 15 minutes, then add the onions and fry together for another 10 minutes, stirring. Add salt.

Ингредиенты

For filling:

Potatoes - 1 kg

Champignons - 350 g

Onions - 2 pcs.

Sunflower oil - 50 ml

Butter - 100 g

Salt - to taste

Dill - 1 bunch

For the test:

Kefir - 200 ml

Flour - 300 g

Salt - 0.5 tsp.

Рецепт

1. Peel the potatoes and cook until tender, drain the water, mash the potatoes with a mash press and add butter.

2. Add fried mushrooms and onions to the potatoes, as well as chopped dill. I used frozen. Mix the filling.

3. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2-3 mm.

4. Using a cup, cut out circles.

5. Place the filling in the center of the circle. The quantity depends on the size of the dumplings. I like small dumplings.

6. Make dumplings in any convenient way. I sculpted it with ruffles.

7. Pour water into the pan, add salt and bring to a boil. Place the dumplings one at a time in boiling water and cook for 4-5 minutes from the moment the water boils. The dumplings should be stirred immediately so that they do not stick to the bottom.

8. Separately, fry the onion in sunflower oil in a frying pan and mix it with the prepared dumplings.

9. Serve the dumplings hot.
