Flounder marinated with carrots and onions in the oven

One of the simple and tasty options for preparing fish, which we have become accustomed to since childhood, is fish marinated with onions, carrots and tomato paste.
Most often we cook this dish on the stove. I suggest trying to cook fish with marinade in the oven. It turns out juicy, tasty and aromatic.
Ингредиенты
Flounder - 250 g
Onion - 1 pc.
Carrots - 1 pc.
Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
Water - 150 ml
Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Allspice peas - 1 pc.
Flour - 2 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Vegetable oil for frying - 1-2 tbsp.

1. Take the ingredients for cooking flounder with carrot and onion marinade in the oven. My flounder is small; if you wish, you don’t even have to cut the small fish into pieces. Onions and carrots are medium size. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees and prepare oven-safe dishes.
2. Wash the flounder under running cold water, cut off the fins and tail. Remove the innards and scrape off any remaining scales. Cut the fish into convenient portions.
3. Peel and wash the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Fry the vegetables in a frying pan with a little oil until soft, add tomato paste, a little salt, bay leaf and pepper. Pour in water and boil everything over medium heat for a couple of minutes.
4. Mix flour and salt and roll fish pieces on both sides in this mixture. Fry the fish in a small amount of oil until golden brown, a couple of minutes on each side.
5. Place 1/3 of the prepared marinade in a baking dish and place fried pieces of fish on top.
6. Place the remaining marinade on top of the fish, cover the pan with foil and place in a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes.
