It is my pleasure to offer you delicious and incredibly aromatic bread! Of course, such bread is unlikely to be suitable for breakfast, you can’t spread butter on it, but lean bread with baked garlic and green onions is just what you need for borscht!

Wheat flour - 600 g

Yeast - 1.5 tsp.

Water - 300 ml

Sugar - 1.5 tbsp.

Refined sunflower oil - 3 tbsp.

Green onions - 2-3 pcs.

Garlic - 10-12 cloves

Ground black pepper - to taste

1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast. Add finely chopped green onions. Mix. Add warm water and oil.

2. Knead the soft elastic dough, which we place in a bowl greased with oil. Cover with film and put in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

3. In the meantime, let's take care of the garlic. We disassemble the head of garlic. Place the slices in foil and wrap. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

4. Then cool and clean it.

5. Meanwhile, the dough has also risen: it has noticeably increased in size.

6. Knead the dough and form a loaf. Place it on a baking sheet. We make small depressions in it, into which we place the baked garlic, lightly pressing it into the dough. Brush the bread with water and sprinkle with pepper. Place in an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Find your way around your oven!

7. Incredibly aromatic lean bread with baked garlic and green onions is ready. Immediately remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
