In fact, during Lent you can not give up sweets and prepare desserts or baked goods without breaking any rules. I offer a simple recipe for lean lemon pie.

In this recipe, the lemon filling is mixed right into the dough. The cake has a pleasant taste and aroma of lemon. Here are the ingredients needed to make Lenten lemon pie.

Flour - 460 g

Sugar - 150-200 g

Vegetable oil - 90 ml

Lemon - 160 g

Soda - 1 tsp.

1. Wash the lemon well, pour boiling water over it and cut into pieces. Remove the seeds and grind the lemon using a meat grinder or blender. Add sugar and vegetable oil to the lemon mixture and mix well.

2. Add soda.

3. The mass will increase and turn white.

4. Add flour and quickly knead the dough. Divide into 2 equal parts.

5. Line a mold (24 cm by 24 cm) with baking paper. Place one piece of dough and spread it evenly over the pan with your hands.

6. Grate the second part of the dough. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

7. Lenten lemon pie is ready. Let the pie cool slightly and cut into pieces, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with tea or coffee.
