If you don't find chicken eggs in your refrigerator, this is not a reason to give up making pancakes for breakfast.

The recipe I offer is very successful, and perhaps you will like it even more than with eggs. The pancakes turn out soft, elastic, hold their shape perfectly, which is extremely convenient if you want to wrap your favorite filling in them.

Milk - 500 g

Flour - 190 g

Baking powder - 1 tsp.

Salt - a pinch

Sugar - 1 tbsp.

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Butter - 50 g

1. Prepare the necessary ingredients for custard pancakes made with milk without eggs. Milk and butter should preferably be at room temperature, but in our case it is not necessary.

2. Pour flour, salt, sugar and half a teaspoon of baking powder into a deep bowl, mix everything with a whisk. Baking powder, by the way, can be replaced with soda, but reduce the amount by half.

3. Pour in half the total amount of cold milk and a spoonful of vegetable oil, knead the dough.

4. You can melt the butter in a frying pan, in which you will then bake pancakes, just wipe off the remaining whey with napkins, otherwise it will burn.

5. Pour the melted butter into the dough, continue mixing it with a whisk. The dough will be thick and sticky.

6. Boil the second half of the milk in a saucepan.

7. Add boiling milk little by little to the dough and mix it quickly. Now the dough will seem runny, don’t let this scare you, let it sit for a while before cooking.

8. Pour a ladleful of batter into a heated frying pan and bake pancakes in the classic way. There will be no need to grease the pan; there will be enough oil in the dough. Place the finished pancakes in a stack and let them stand for a while, since the edges of the pancakes turn out crispy and crumbly, you need to give them time to soften.

9. Custard pancakes made with milk without eggs are ready. Soft and very tasty. Serve with jam, syrup or honey.
