Cream of Onion Soup is a simple and easy to make, nutritious and warming soup made with minimal ingredients. Made with lightly caramelized fried onions, potatoes, a little garlic and cream, the soup is thick and creamy in texture, creamy and very delicate in taste. Onions – 1 pc.

Leek – 1 pc.

Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.

Garlic – 3 cloves

Potatoes – 500 g

Mixture of dry Italian herbs 1-2 tsp.

Water – 800 ml

Cream 10-20% – 150-200 ml (to taste)

Salt - to taste

Ground black pepper - to taste

Рецепт

1. Heat 2 tbsp. vegetable oil. Add the chopped onions and leeks (the bottom of the stem is white and pale green). Over low heat, stirring occasionally, fry the onion for 10 minutes until soft.

2. Add sliced garlic and fry for another 40-60 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add peeled and diced potatoes, bay leaf and 1-2 tsp to the pan. a mixture of dried Italian herbs.

4. Pour in water, bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 20 minutes until the potatoes are ready.

5. When the potatoes are ready, remove the bay leaf from the pan and grind the ingredients with an immersion blender.

6. Pour in the cream.

7. Mix everything well, bring the soup to a boil and cook for 1 minute over low heat, stirring occasionally. Then turn off the heat and season the soup to your liking by adding salt and ground black pepper.

8. Onion cream soup is ready.
