Layered salad with trout

I suggest preparing this simple salad for the New Year’s holiday; it looks very advantageous on the holiday table.

It can be made into portions or served on a common platter. Then you need to line the inside of the dishes with cling film and place the ingredients in a deep salad bowl in the reverse order. Instead of sweet pepper, cucumber can definitely work. For dressing, the simplest oil will do, but I used olive oil with basil.

We will need the following products: dried bread, boiled potatoes, smoked trout, tomato, iceberg lettuce, onion, mustard, butter, lemon juice, half a sweet pepper or cucumber.

Ингредиенты

Semi-smoked trout - 120 grams;

Boiled potatoes - 2 pcs;

Purple onion - 0.5 pcs;

Iceberg lettuce - 40 grams;

Tomato - 1 piece;

Sweet pepper - 0.5 pcs;

Bread - 1.5 slices.

Refueling:

Olive oil - 2 tbsp;

Lemon juice - 1 tbsp. l;

Mustard -0.5. tsp;

Sugar;

1. Bread, preferably black, but I only had white, cut into very small strips. For easier slicing, the bread should be dry.

2. Prepare the dressing. To do this, mix all the ingredients for it. Be sure to add salt and a pinch of sugar. The dressing should be absolutely to your taste.

3. Chop all vegetables very finely. Rinse the onion with water and sprinkle with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.

4. Chop the boiled potatoes into small cubes or strips. It’s better not to grate everything, but to cut it by hand.

5. Place the ingredients in layers in a special die-cut mold. I took this improvised, homemade form without a bottom. I repeat that you can take a deep salad bowl, line it with cling film and place the ingredients in the reverse order. Then cool and turn over. In this case, everything is laid out in this order... Place pieces of crushed bread on the bottom of the plate, press down, pour over the dressing.

6. Next, add acidified onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers. Be sure to compact each layer, lightly sprinkle with salt, if necessary, and pour over the dressing.

7. Then layer iceberg lettuce and fish. Arrange the fish pieces randomly in ribbons. Release the salad from the mold.

8. Garnish with herbs and serve. Bon appetit!
