Simple technology and an unusual combination of products allow you to get a tasty dish that is different from the usual fried potatoes!
Unusual taste, I’ll say right away, unusual. Potato wedges with orange juice are a very interesting side dish: bright, spicy rosemary and a slightly muted, subtle and delicate note of orange. It turns out quite elegant and sophisticated.
Potatoes should be taken so that the tubers are the same size. The slices should not turn out to be “different sizes”. In addition to juice, you can also add orange zest to enhance the orange component. I limited myself to juice. The potatoes will fry well if there is a little of it in the frying pan and it is convenient to turn the slices over.
Ингредиенты
Potatoes - 700 g
Orange - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Dried rosemary - 0.25 tsp.
Рецепт
1. Wash and peel the potatoes, place them in a saucepan and cover with boiling water. Add some salt. After boiling, cook for 10-15 minutes (depending on the size of the tubers) until the potatoes are completely cooked, but do not let the tubers boil!
2. Meanwhile, you can squeeze the juice out of the orange.
3. Remove the finished potatoes and cool slightly.
4. Cut each tuber into 4-6 slices.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, heat it, add dried rosemary. If it sizzles, it means the oil is well heated and you can add the prepared potatoes.
6. Stirring gently, fry the slices until nicely browned.
7. Pour in orange juice and salt the potatoes to taste.
8. Fry the potatoes a little more so that the juices partially evaporate and partially caramelize on the surface of the potato wedges.
9. Serve the finished potato wedges with orange juice hot!
