Egg-cheese balls stuffed with crab sticks

These cute balls look like the popular Raffaello coconut candies, but they have nothing to do with sweets.
Hidden under the coconut coating is a spicy cheese and egg mass with a piece of crab stick in the middle. Cheese balls are served as a snack in the style of a canapé - with a skewer. This appetizer will be a real hit on the holiday table!

Crab sticks - 3 pcs. (75 g)
Eggs - 3 pcs.
Hard cheese - 100 g
Garlic - 1 clove
Mayonnaise - 1 tbsp.
Coconut flakes - 25 g
Salt - a pinch

1. Boil the eggs hard (for 10 minutes), then cool in cold water and peel.
2. Grate the eggs on a fine grater into a bowl.
3. Also grate the hard cheese on a fine grater and add to the eggs.
4. Peel the garlic and grate it on a fine grater or pass it through a press. Add mayonnaise, garlic and a pinch of salt to the cheese and eggs.
5. Stir. The cheese and egg mixture should hold its shape well.
6. Remove the packaging film from the crab sticks. Cut each crab stick into 6-8 pieces.
7. Place coconut flakes in a bowl.
8. Start forming the snack. Scoop some of the cheese and egg mixture into a tablespoon and form into a flat cake. Place a piece of crab stick in the center of this flatbread.
9. Cover the crab stick with the free edges of the cheese and egg cake and form into a ball.
10. Prepare the rest of the balls from the entire cheese-egg mass in the same way. I got 14 balls.
11. Roll cheese balls with crab sticks in coconut flakes.
12. Transfer the snack balls to a plate.
13. Pierce each cheese ball with a skewer.
14. Egg-cheese balls stuffed with crab sticks are ready. If you do not plan to serve the snowball snacks right away, wrap them in cling film and place them in the refrigerator.
15. Cheese balls with crab sticks turn out tender, very tasty and aromatic and look original.
