I stopped eating potatoes as side dishes for meat and poultry a long time ago. I love a simple English side dish - caramelized onions. It is not only tasty, but also healthy.
For those who don't like onions, please don't worry. The onion turns out to be not hot at all, but still crispy. Pleasant and sweetish in taste. It's like whiskey, you have to try it. Please do not confuse it with the American drink. We are talking exclusively about Scottish or Irish varieties. Those who try it for the first time say it is similar to moonshine, but those who understand and appreciate the taste will say that it is the smell of the heather fields of Scotland. It's the same with onions.
So, to prepare chicken with onion garnish in a slow cooker, we will need: half a chicken carcass, a couple of large onions, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper, a little vegetable oil and garlic.

Chicken - 700 g
Onions - 2 pcs.
Chicken masala - 2 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Garlic - 4 cloves

1. Rub the chicken with garlic, salt and seasonings. You can leave it to marinate for a couple of hours, but for those who are urgent, 30 minutes is enough.
2. Pour a little oil into the multicooker bowl and add the chicken.
3. Turn on the multicooker in “oven” mode for 50 minutes at 110 degrees. Turn over once during cooking.
4. The chicken is ready. Add another 10 minutes and set the temperature to 150 degrees.
5. Immediately place the onion, and the chicken on top of the onion, let it simmer and soak in the onion aromas.
6. Remove the chicken and stir in the onions. Sprinkle with black pepper and add a little salt. Stir and woo-a-la! Chicken with onion garnish is ready. The onion is exactly what we need - not raw, but a little crunchy, “al dente” as pasta lovers would say.
7. Serve piping hot!
