Korean-style squid heh with carrots and soy sauce. An unusual dish for special occasions! Or for every day, if your whole life is like that.
A low-calorie snack for lovers of spicy Korean cuisine. The spiciness in this dish, of course, can be adjusted to taste or you can make the dish not spicy at all without adding pepper.
Squid heh with carrots makes a great addition to a diet or fasting table.
Adjust the marinating time yourself depending on the taste you like of carrots - crunchy or softer. It was enough for me to marinate the heh for a couple of hours.
Ингредиенты
Squid (cleaned) - 70 g
Carrots - 1 pc.
Onions - 0.5 pcs.
Soy sauce for sushi - 1 tbsp.
Vegetable oil - 1 tsp.
Hot red pepper (ground) - to taste
Salt - to taste
Рецепт
1. Boil water with the addition of allspice and bay leaf for squid (you can use water without seasoning, but this will make the squid more flavorful). Boil for 3 minutes.
2. Cut the squid into strips or thin circles and place in boiling water. As soon as the water boils again, remove the pan from the heat and cover with a lid. Leave for 10 minutes. Squids prepared in this way will never be “rubbery”, but will be tender and soft.
3. Chop the carrots with a Korean carrot grater, and chop the onion into thin semicircles. Combine vegetables with squid.
4. Salt and pepper to taste (you don’t need to add salt at all, given the saltiness of soy sauce).
5. Place everything in a container or jar, add oil and soy sauce, close the lid and shake well.
6. Place in the refrigerator for 2 to 10 hours. Korean squid hye should be served chilled.
