Potato cutlets with mushrooms

Potato cutlets are the perfect breakfast dish. They can be prepared simply from mashed potatoes, or you can, as in this version, add fried mushrooms and onions to them, and the dish will sparkle with new colors.
There is nothing difficult in preparing cutlets, but they will take more time than just cooking potatoes.
To prepare potato cutlets with mushrooms, you need to cut the champignons and onions into cubes, fry them in sunflower oil until the mushrooms are golden brown and the onions are translucent.

Potatoes - 500 g
Fresh champignons - 150 g
Onions - 1 pc.
Garlic - 1-2 cloves
Egg - 1 pc.
Dill, parsley - 0.5 bunch
Salt, pepper - to taste
Wheat flour - 2 tbsp. + for breading
Sunflower oil - for frying
Рецепт
1. Boil the potatoes, drain the water and mash them with a potato masher.
2. Add fried mushrooms and onions to the potatoes.
3. Add chopped herbs to the mashed potatoes (I used frozen dill and parsley), beat in an egg, add salt and pepper, squeeze the garlic through a press and add flour.
4. Mix the potato mixture thoroughly, sprinkle a plate with flour and form all the cutlets at once, wetting your palms with cold water. If you don't do this, the potatoes will stick to your hands. Immediately coat the cutlets in flour.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan and place cutlets for frying. When one side is browned, turn the cutlets over.
6. Place the cutlets on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
7. Hot potato cutlets with mushrooms are incredibly good both as an independent dish and as an addition to meat or fish. You can add sour cream or garlic sauce to them. Serve immediately.
