Beef chops in the oven

Delicious and satisfying beef chops can be prepared not only in a frying pan, but also in the oven. At the same time, such chops are not breaded, but are filled with kefir for several hours, which makes the meat especially soft.
Chops from the oven are especially tasty when served hot. To cook beef chops in the oven, it is better to use special meat. I have a chop on the rib, the ribs are well cut and left for making soup. We will also need onions, kefir, meat seasoning, pepper and salt.

Beef (chop) - 400 g
Onions - 1 pc.
Kefir - 70 ml
Seasoning for meat - to taste
Salt, pepper - to taste

1. Cut the beef into layers 1 cm thick. I got 9 pieces.
2. Beat each layer with a kitchen hammer on both sides.
3. Place the meat in a bowl, sprinkle with salt, meat seasoning and pepper. Cut the onion into large cubes and transfer the meat to them.
4. Pour kefir into the container with meat. The meat should not float in kefir, but be only slightly covered with it. Place the container in the refrigerator, covering the meat with a lid. Marinate for several hours, ideally overnight.
5. Then transfer the chops to a baking dish directly with the marinade. Cover the pan with foil.
6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake the meat for 50 minutes. If you need a dietary option, do not remove the foil. If you want to brown the meat, remove the foil 10-15 minutes before the end of cooking. If there is too much liquid in the mold, you can partially drain it. Oven-cooked beef chops can be served with fresh vegetables and any side dish.
