To make the jam aromatic and have a rich taste, choose juicy, bright orange carrots without a noticeably light center and without an earthy aftertaste. To prepare carrot jam for the winter, prepare peeled carrots, granulated sugar and water.
Ингредиенты
Carrots - 220 g (peeled)
Sugar - 220 g
Water - 200 ml
Citric acid - 0.25 tsp.

1. Carrots need to be cut into circles and semicircles.
2. Pour 200 ml of water into a saucepan, add sugar (220 g). While heating, bring the syrup to a boil and add carrot slices to the boiling syrup.
3. Boil the carrots for 3-4 minutes and remove the pan from the heat. After 6-8 hours, heat the jam again and after boiling, boil again for about 5 minutes. Add citric acid.
6. The finished jam can be cooled, transferred to a nice clean container and served. To prepare carrot jam for the winter, you need to transfer it hot into a jar of suitable size and screw it in the traditional way.
