Oyakodon - Japanese omelette

In simple terms, oyakodon is a Japanese omelette topped with rice and pieces of chicken, pork, beef and even eel.
According to some sources, this dish is more than two hundred years old. It is very convenient to serve oyakodon in a round deep plate, with rice placed at the bottom and topped with a Japanese omelette with meat. To prepare the Japanese oyakodon omelette with chicken and rice, prepare the necessary ingredients. The list is not so long, all the products are familiar and can be found, if not in your refrigerator, then in the nearest store for sure.

Onions - 1 pc.
Chicken fillet - 200 g
Soy sauce - 4 tbsp.
Long rice - 70 g
Salt - 1/3 tsp.
Sugar - 1.5 tbsp.
Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Рецепт
1. Wash and dry the chicken fillet, cut into thin strips or pieces. Peel the onions and cut them into halves or quarter rings.
2. Pour a little vegetable oil, soy sauce, sugar and chopped onions into a hot frying pan. For the first couple of minutes, cover the pan with a lid and sauté the onions over low heat, then you can remove the lid and stir the onions.
3. After a few minutes, add the chicken pieces to the pan. There is no need to add salt, but you can add spices. Fry over low heat for another 7 minutes.
4. Beat two chicken eggs and pour them into the frying pan so that the egg mixture covers the pieces of meat and onions.
5. Pour rice with two parts of water, add salt and cook for 20 minutes until soft. Then transfer the rice into a round bowl and lightly compact it. After a while, tip the bowl onto a dish so that the rice remains in a round mound.
6. Carefully place pieces of the omelette or the whole omelette on top of the rice. Serve the Japanese Oyakodon omelet hot.
