Pasta with mussels

To prepare pasta with mussels, both mussels in the shells and shelled, frozen or canned in oil are suitable.

Add tomato sauce to taste and optionally in the finished dish. Buy high-quality pasta (shells, spaghetti, penne or other) from durum wheat; this time I took ordinary shells of medium quality.

The taste is not for everyone, but I’m just a seafood lover ;)

Prepare the ingredients:

Ингредиенты

Mussels - 400 grams;

Pasta - 300 grams;

Onion - 1 large head;

Champignons - 100 grams;

White wine - 100 ml;

garlic - 1-2 cloves;

Olive oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;

Salt;

Dry Italian herbs with paprika;

Tomato sauce optional.

Рецепт

1. Cook the pasta al dente and drain in a colander.

2. While the pasta is cooking, you can prepare the sauce.

First of all, fry the onion, chopped into half rings, in olive oil.

3. Then add pieces of champignons to the onion and simmer everything together. Salt moderately, as the mussels will already be salty. Add Italian herbs and paprika.

4. Add defrosted mussels to the onions with mushrooms, pour in white wine, and then simmer, covered, for about five minutes over low heat.

5. The pasta sauce is ready.

6. Leave the amount of liquid in the sauce to your taste.

Stir the sauce into the pasta. Add tomato sauce, peppers and herbs to taste.

7. Pasta with mussels is ready.
