Unusual low-calorie roll, not like anything else! Without flour and sugar - only healthy products. It is difficult to call such a roll a pastry - yes, we bake the cake in the oven, but it is rather a sweet snack or a snack. Although it can be safely presented to guests for tea.

For the cake of a dietary apple-carrot roll with cottage cheese, you only need eggs, carrots and salt. For the filling: apples, cottage cheese (low fat), sour cream (also low fat) and cinnamon. Get your ingredients ready and let's get started!

Carrots - 400 g

Eggs - 4 pcs.

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Apples - 400 g

Curd - 250 g

Sour cream - 50 g

Cinnamon - 1 tsp

1. Let's start by preparing the carrot base for the roll. Peel the carrots, grate and stew in their own juice on a small heat under the lid until soft (15-20 minutes). Don't forget to stir the carrots during cooking so they don't burn. Cool down a bit.

2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

3. Combine the proteins with salt and beat with a mixer until firm. This will take 5-7 minutes.

4. Add the yolks to the cooled carrots. Stir.

5. Then put the whipped proteins to the carrots in two approaches and gently mix with a spatula until smooth.

6. Get a light air mass for the base of the roll.

7. Put the mass on a baking sheet covered with a baking mat or parchment. For safety, you can smear the surface with a small amount of oil.

8. Bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Watch your preparation carefully. Cool the finished cake on a baking sheet.

9. In the meantime, prepare the filling for the roll. Peel and grate the apples. Combine with cottage cheese, sour cream and cinnamon.

10. Mix thoroughly until smooth.

11. Cover the cooled carrot cake with an even layer of filling.

12. Roll the layer into a roll and wrap in cling film. Put the roll in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

13. Dietary apple-carrot roll with cottage cheese is ready! Cut into portioned rolls and serve! Bon appetit!
