If you love cottage cheese pies and scones, then this recipe is for you. The pie turns out tender, melting... it has an unforgettable taste!
You can take puff pastry ready-made, or you can get confused and make it yourself, which, of course, is long and tedious. Therefore, we take ready-made puff pastry without yeast and thereby further simplify the recipe.
Soft cottage cheese is suitable, preferably market cottage cheese. You can also use a paste-like one, the main thing is that it is natural and does not release water during baking. Take the greens you like. For me it’s basil and dill, I highly recommend basil.
Prepare the ingredients for the pie with onions and cottage cheese on puff pastry.

Puff pastry - 500 g
Cottage cheese - 250 g
Sour cream - 3 tbsp.
Basil - 10 g
Dill - 10 g
Green onion - 40 g
Onions - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Sesame - 1 tbsp.

1. Cut the onion into thin strips and lightly fry in vegetable or butter.
2. Add green onions and lightly salt. After a minute, turn off the heat.
3. Mix cottage cheese, fried onions, sour cream and herbs. Salt to taste, and if necessary, sprinkle with spices.
4. I had two rectangular puff pastry sheets in the package, so I decided to make the pie square. You can also bake it in a round shape, if the packaging allows it. Roll out each sheet of dough thinner and place one of them on a baking sheet.
5. Distribute the curd filling over the entire surface of the dough.
6. Cover with a second layer of dough and pinch the edges tightly.
7. Make slits along the surface of the dough without cutting all the way down to the bottom. Brush the pie with sour cream and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake it at 180 degrees until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
8. Pie with onions and cottage cheese on puff pastry is ready. Now you can cut it all the way along the marked lines. Enjoy!
