The baking sleeve has long become a lifesaver for many housewives. Dishes cooked in the sleeve always turn out tasty, juicy and healthy. I suggest you cook beef and potatoes in the oven in a sleeve. This hearty dish is suitable for a family lunch or dinner, and can also be prepared for breakfast for those who have time and like to eat hearty food. The dish consists of simple and affordable ingredients, which are not difficult to purchase.

Beef - 600 g
Potatoes - 900 g
Carrots - 1 pc.
Onions - 1 pc.
Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.
Seasoning for meat - to taste
Salt, pepper - to taste
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
Dry basil - to taste

1. To prepare a dish, prepare all the necessary products from the list.
2. Rinse the beef and blot away moisture with napkins. Cut the meat into oblong pieces.
3. Place the meat in a bowl, season with salt and pepper, add a spoonful of tomato paste and meat seasoning. Mix the meat well and leave while we prepare the potatoes and other vegetables.
4. Cut the potatoes into slices and place in a deep bowl. Add dry basil, salt and vegetable oil to the potatoes.
5. Cut the onion into large cubes and the carrots into semicircles, but not thinly, about 4-5 mm. Mix all the vegetables well.
6. Add meat to vegetables and mix well again.
7. Tie the baking sleeve on one side, place in a heat-resistant dish and place vegetables and meat in it.
8. Distribute the vegetables evenly in the sleeve and tie it on the other side. Make 3-4 punctures on top with a needle to allow steam to escape.
9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, place the pan in there and bake the dish for 1 hour. Willingness to check on potatoes. I usually pierce the potatoes with a toothpick right through the sleeve to make sure they are done. After cooking, do not rush to serve the dish immediately, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, otherwise you can get burned by the steam. Open the sleeve carefully, starting from the edge.
10. Place the beef and potatoes baked in the oven in a sleeve into plates, sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve.
