I want to share with you a recipe for cupcakes, but not ordinary ones, but with a Japanese twist
If you are interested in Japanese cuisine, it is impossible to ignore the amazing Japanese desserts. There are many of them in Japanese cuisine, but these Japanese green tea cupcakes deserve special attention. Japanese green tea cupcakes are tender, light and incredibly airy steamed cupcakes. The combination of honey and green tea gives the cupcakes an incredibly appetizing aroma and unforgettable taste! Preparing the cupcakes will take you no more than 20 minutes, from the start of preparation to serving the cupcakes to the table. This is an excellent breakfast option without any extra hassle or a tea treat for unexpected guests. Try it!
Ингредиенты
Chicken egg - 1 pc.
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.
Honey - 1 tbsp.
Yogurt - 3 tbsp.
Sugar - 1.5 tbsp.
Wheat flour - 60 g
Baking powder - 1 tsp.
Powdered green tea - 1 tsp.
Рецепт
1. Combine 1 large egg, 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil and beat well. Add honey, yogurt and sugar and mix thoroughly.
2. Combine flour, baking powder and green tea powder. I use matcha tea.
3. Sift the flour mixture, adding to the liquid ingredients.
4. Mix thoroughly until you get a homogeneous dough.
5. Place paper muffin tins in ovenproof pans. Add the dough. The cupcakes will expand in size, so try to fill the pan no more than half or 2/3 full.
6. Place the cupcakes in a steamer or slow cooker. I cook muffins in a slow cooker using the “Steam Boiler” mode. You can also cook the muffins in a saucepan. To do this, place a sieve or other device with holes suitable for steaming inside the pan. Make sure that boiling water does not come into contact with it. Wrap the lid of the pan with a thin cloth or towel, so the condensation formed during cooking will settle on the towel and not flow down onto the muffins. Place the muffin pans over the simmering water and cover the pan tightly with a lid.
7. Steam the muffins for 13-14 minutes. You can check readiness by inserting a wooden skewer into the cake. If the skewer comes out dry, the cupcakes are ready.
8. Green tea cupcakes are ready! Hot muffins can be served immediately. Enjoy your tea!
