We often cook turkey, today I will share a fairly simple recipe for preparing it - in honey mustard sauce. Let's prepare all the ingredients for baking turkey drumsticks in honey-mustard sauce in the oven. Choose your turkey according to your preferences. Either huge drumsticks, then for this amount of ingredients take 1 drumstick weighing 500-600 g, or, like me, take not the largest drumsticks so that you can serve them to the table in portions.

Ингредиенты

Turkey drumstick - 2 pcs. (800-900 g)

Honey - 1.5 tbsp.

Mustard - 1.5 tbsp.

Soy sauce - 2 tbsp.

Garlic - 2-3 cloves

Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.

Salt and pepper - to taste

1. So, carefully remove the skin from the turkey legs, but not completely. Using a knife, we make punctures in the meat.

2. Cut the garlic cloves into small slices and stick them into the holes. Sprinkle the meat with salt and pepper.

3. Now we return the skin back.

4. Prepare the marinade. Take 1 tbsp. honey and 1 tbsp. mustard, add olive oil and soy sauce.

5. Mix all marinade ingredients well.

6. The best option for baking this dish is to pre-marinate the drumsticks in the prepared marinade. I usually put the drumsticks in a ziplock bag, pour the marinade over them, close the bag and lightly massage the meat so that the marinade is distributed evenly. I send the drumsticks to marinate in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, more is possible. If you don’t have time, then let the meat marinate for at least half an hour.

7. Place the marinated turkey legs on a baking sheet or in a baking dish and coat them with marinade.

8. Cover the pan with foil and place the drumsticks in an oven preheated to 160°C for 20 minutes. Then we take the drumsticks out of the oven, remove the foil and brush them with marinade again. Place in the oven for another 15 minutes under foil.

9. To get a beautiful crust on the skin, mix the remaining 0.5 tbsp. honey and 0.5 tbsp. mustard.

10. Remove the turkey drumsticks in honey-mustard sauce from the oven and brush with the mixture. In the oven, turn on the “Grill” mode and send the drumsticks without foil into the oven for 3-4 minutes under the grill, watch the process, everyone’s oven is different, we need a beautiful crust.

11. Place the finished turkey legs on a dish, and pour the remaining marinade into a saucepan and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve turkey drumsticks with roasted vegetables, fresh vegetable salad or rice. And don't forget about the sauce!
