The merchant-style buckwheat turns out to be very tasty and filling. And most importantly, preparing this buckwheat with meat is quick and easy!

Ингредиенты

Buckwheat - 400 g (2 cups)

Meat (pork neck, any kind) - 800 g

Onions - 2 pcs.

Carrots (medium) - 2 pcs.

Garlic - 2 cloves

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.

Seasoning for meat - to taste

Pepper mixture - to taste

Salt - to taste

Water - approximately 4 cups (+1 cup for meat)

Butter (optional) - 30 g

1. Wash the meat, dry it with a paper towel and cut into medium pieces. Wash the onions and carrots, peel and cut into medium cubes.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan or deep frying pan. Fry onions and carrots.

3. Add meat to the pan with vegetables and stir. Add garlic, salt, pepper, spices. Stir and fry the meat without a lid.

Then add water (boiling water) so that the meat is completely covered with liquid, stir and simmer the meat until half cooked over medium heat under the lid

4. Rinse the buckwheat well. If desired, buckwheat can be calcined in a frying pan; the buckwheat will be more aromatic and crumbly.

Add buckwheat to the meat and vegetables, stir. Pour boiling water so that the buckwheat is completely covered with water. To cook buckwheat, I always use a ratio of buckwheat to water of 1:2, respectively. It is convenient to use glasses: for 2 glasses of buckwheat, 4 glasses of water. Add spices, salt.

Simmer the meat with buckwheat over low heat for 30-40 minutes, without stirring, under the lid. Cook until all the water has evaporated and the cereal is cooked. Cooking time depends on the buckwheat itself.

Then mix gently. You can add a piece of butter to the buckwheat. Close the lid, remove from heat and let the dish stand for 10 minutes.
