Dumplings with apples

Dumplings are one of the most famous and favorite dishes.
And although they are classified as Ukrainian cuisine, there are many analogues in the world. These are ravioli, kurze, khinkali, manti, wontons, kreplach. Today we are making dumplings with apples. Quite a rare option, but very tasty.
Separately, I would like to draw your attention to the dough. It turns out to be surprisingly elastic, does not stick to your hands at all and is very pleasant to work with.
Ингредиенты
Dough:
Wheat flour - 2.5-3 cups
Hot water - 200 ml
Sunflower oil - 3 tbsp.
Salt - 0.5 tsp.
Filling:
Apples - 3-4 pcs.
Sugar - to taste

1. Knead the dough for dumplings. Place flour and salt in a bowl.
2. Pour in refined sunflower oil.
3. Pour hot water, but not boiling water. Mix flour, salt and water with a spoon.
4. Then place the dough on a table or other surface sprinkled with flour. Knead a fairly stiff but elastic dough. You need to knead for 7-8 minutes. Cover it with film and let rest for 15-20 minutes.
5. Prepare the filling. Wash the apples, peel and grate. Squeeze out the juice for very juicy ones.
6. Roll out the dough into a thin layer and use any notch (I used a glass) to make circles. Fill each circle with apples, sprinkle with sugar. If the apples are sweet, then you don’t have to do this.
7. Form dumplings with apple filling, joining the edges of the dough. Place them on a plate or cutting board dusted with flour.
8. Cook dumplings. Place the dumplings in boiling salted water and stir so that they do not stick to the bottom of the pan. After the dumplings float to the surface, cook them for another 5-6 minutes.
9. Place the finished dumplings with apples on a plate and serve with honey, sour cream, and jam.
