I like dishes that combine two in one, here you have a side dish and a meat component.

Very convenient and quick to prepare. Oven-baked meatballs with potatoes in sauce is a very satisfying, tasty and easy-to-prepare dish. Meatballs can be made from any minced meat, in my case it is minced beef, quite fatty. The meatballs turned out juicy, tender, and simply melted in your mouth.

Ингредиенты

Minced beef fat - 300 g

Rice - 30 g

Onions - 1 pc.

Potatoes - 4 pcs.

Breadcrumbs - 2 tbsp.

Spices - to taste

Salt - to taste

Sauce:

Tomato paste - 1 tbsp.

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt - 0.25 tsp.

Sugar - 1 tsp.

Sour cream - 1 tbsp.

Boiled water - 300 ml

1. For meatballs, it is advisable to use fatty minced meat. Add raw washed rice to it. First, the rice should be soaked in warm water for an hour or boiled until half cooked. Grind the onion in a convenient way, I scrolled it in the processor until it became a homogeneous paste, add it to the minced meat. Salt and sprinkle with your favorite spices. It can be different peppers, herbs, if desired. Mix the minced meat thoroughly.

2. Form small meatballs, the size of a walnut. Lightly roll them in breadcrumbs or flour. I do this so that the sauce later becomes thicker, but you can skip the breadcrumbs altogether.

3. Peel the potatoes and cut them lengthwise into equal slices.

4. Place the meatballs in a fireproof dish so that you can insert potato slices into the resulting free spaces. Lightly salt and sprinkle with spices.

5. For the sauce, combine tomato paste, garlic clove, salt, sugar, sour cream. Pour in warm boiled water and dissolve all ingredients until smooth. Add whatever is missing to taste.

6. Pour the resulting sauce over the contents of the mold.

7. Cover with foil and place in a hot oven. Cook at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Test doneness with a fork; the potatoes should be completely soft and the meatballs should be completely cooked. If necessary, keep the meatballs and potatoes in the sauce in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.

8. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh herbs. Serve with sour cream or vegetables and marinades.
