Merchant-style buckwheat with chicken in a slow cooker turns out crumbly, aromatic and very tasty without any effort.

You can use any part of a chicken carcass, not necessarily pure fillet; drumsticks, wings, legs, etc. will also work. Before adding the cereal, the meat must be fried along with vegetables and tomato paste - then it will be covered with a light golden brown crust and retain the juice. I like to cook cereals in a slow cooker - they do not turn into “porridge”, the dish does not stick to the bottom, and the porridge is imbued with vegetable and meat aromas.

I recommend frying the cereal for a short amount of time along with vegetables and meat before adding boiling water, so that it acquires a light fried flavor. You can safely replace tomato paste with tomato juice or chopped fresh tomatoes, pre-washed, scalded in boiling water and peeled.

Ингредиенты

Buckwheat - 200 g

Boiling water - 500 ml

Chicken fillet - 450 g

Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.

Carrots - 1 pc.

Onion - 1 pc.

Salt and pepper - to taste

Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.

Bay leaf - 2 pcs.

Рецепт

1. Rinse the chicken meat in water, cut off the membranes. Cut into medium cubes. Turn on the multicooker, pour vegetable oil into the bowl and activate the “Fry” mode for 10 minutes. Place the chopped chicken in a bowl and fry for about 5-6 minutes, adding salt, pepper and bay leaves.

2. At this time, peel the vegetables, rinse and cut into small cubes. Add to the bowl along with the tomato paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes.

3. Add the washed buckwheat and fry again for about 1-2 minutes.

4. Pour in boiling water, activate the “Porridge” or “Cooking” mode on the equipment display for 20 minutes and close the multicooker lid. Now you can do other things for 20 minutes - the technology will do everything for you!

5. As soon as the multicooker beeps, the merchant-style buckwheat with chicken will be ready! The cereal is not boiled, grain by grain. Remove bay leaves - they begin to taste bitter after cooking.

6. Place the buckwheat merchant style on plates and serve.

7. Have a nice time!
