Date paste is an easy to prepare, natural in composition, delicious tasting delicacy made from three basic ingredients.

Sweet, aromatic date paste is an excellent option for a simple and incredibly tasty delicacy made from a minimum number of ingredients. Prepared with the addition of ripe bananas, carob or cocoa, the paste has a rich caramel-chocolate flavor and silky, creamy texture, consists of three basic components and is completely natural in composition.

Date paste will come to the rescue of those who are trying to eliminate or limit the consumption of refined sugar. And for all those with a sweet tooth, it will be a delicious-tasting delicacy that can be kept on hand and used as a sweet snack, complemented with slices of fruit or bread, and also as a natural sweetener in the preparation of smoothies, baked goods, desserts, drinks and cereals. Ингредиенты

Dates – 250 g

Banana – 300 g

Carob/cocoa – 3-5 tsp. (taste)

Lemon juice – 1 tbsp. (optional)

Salt – 1 pinch (optional)

Cinnamon – 0.5-1 tsp. (optional)

Рецепт

1. Wash, dry and pit the dates.

2. Pour cold water over the dates and leave for 8-12 hours until they become soft. To speed up the process, you can pour boiling water over the dates, cover and leave for 20-30 minutes, or steam for 10-15 minutes (until soft), then cool.

3. Cut the banana into large pieces and place in a blender bowl. If desired, add 1 tbsp. lemon juice and beat everything for a few seconds until smooth.

4. Add softened dates to the resulting banana puree and beat for another 2-3 minutes until smooth.

5. Once the banana and date mixture is smooth and homogeneous, add carob or cocoa, a small pinch of salt and, if desired, a little ground cinnamon.

6. Beat all components for 30-60 seconds so that the carob/cocoa is completely dissolved in the paste.

7. The pasta can be served immediately or placed in a clean, dry, airtight container, stored in the refrigerator and used as needed. Recommended storage period is up to 7 days.

8. Date paste is ready.
