A thrifty housewife never wastes anything. Unused bread can be used to make breadcrumbs in a frying pan.
Breadcrumbs have a wide range of applications. Cutlets, chops, steaks, vegetables, etc. are prepared with them. You can buy breadcrumbs at your nearest store. But sometimes there is no desire to go to the nearest store. Then you can prepare this product at home.
In addition, this is a great way to recycle leftover bread that for some reason was not eaten. Our generation still remembers the time when we were taught to take care of bread, since this product is the result of the labor of many people. Throwing away uneaten pieces of bread is unacceptable to me.
Therefore, when there are quite a lot of pieces accumulated, I prepare crackers from them. Sometimes I cook it on purpose: if I urgently need to bread something, but there are no breadcrumbs. The easiest way, in my opinion, is to dry the pieces of bread in a frying pan.

Bread – 300 g

1. Cut the bread into pieces.
2. Place in a dry frying pan and fry on both sides.
3. Fry on both sides over low heat.
4. Pass the fried pieces through a meat grinder or chop with a blender.
5. Place the crackers back into the pan and fry for another 7 minutes, stirring.
6. Breadcrumbs are ready. You can use them for their intended purpose. This is the basic recipe. You can add any spices or additives to these breadcrumbs. For storage, place in a clean and dry container. Store in a dry place.
